Next Social

Hi!
There isnt a date set for the next social but what would everyone like to do? Do you like the ride/dinner format or would you rather do a "happy Hour" type of setup? We can go to a restaurant/bar and maybe get the outside area. I was thinking Grill Smith if we can have them let us use the outside for our group. What does everyone else think?

That would be fine with me. If it's going to be @ Grillsmith, maybe a pre-social run. Or we could go practice the beer mile. Joking. Find out from Rich @ Fit Niche where they do their fun runs. I know some people mentioned bowling, but don't know if they were serious.

I'm down with the GrillSmith idea. Never been there, but I've heard it's really good!

I am easy to please........ this sounds good to me, but so does running or bowling or painting pottery or crocheting or dancing or ......

What about doing geomatic computations? That's what my class is in, we could have a social where everyone does some of my home work.

I'm up for anything and everything social after August 23...food, drinks, rides, bowling...

Anything before that I won't be able to make any food or drink-related socials.

I've heard good things about GrillSmith too, but isn't the dress too much for a post run/bike? I'm up for whatever everyone's doing!

For a future social I have an idea. How about a run through Christina with some work on that big hill near S. Florida Ave, followed by the Lakeland Ale House??

GrillSmith might be better as a social only get together. Ale House I could towel off, throw on some deodorant and be good.

yeah i was thinking that the Grill Smith would be a social only with no run or ride associated with it. just a fun way to get to know each other without worrying if you are stinky otherwise people will refer to you as "the stinky guy in the white shirt with pit stains standing in the corner" instead of remembering your actual name. You don't want to be that guy!!

<checking for pit stains>...It's Michael! Michael is my name:) So, what you're saying is that the next social will be a social only not a trian/social. So let's set a date!!

Seems to me it is time for the next social. Who plans these things? KP and I want to meet the rest of ya'll before our season starts.

I think I meant Dec 29 or 30 - like Monday or Tuesday next week? I have no authority to call a social, just think it would be nice to have one.

Whenever you guys want a social just let Becca or I know and we can send out an email.

I'll be skirting back into town around then, so I'll be able to make it Monday or Tuesday. Let's do it Tuesday so all those people on Sunday's San Antonio ride can recover on Monday...or find their way back after getting lost...
