What's your favorite band or type of music to listen to while training?

Re: training music
your not kidding!! You probably have the NKOTB new cd too...
I don't listen to music, i listen to my body and my breathing - sounds stupid but i stopped using music a few years back. I will admit to using it on the Van Fleet a few times when i was alone training for Florida but never on the run...

Don't knock NKOTB, those kids can really put on a show!! I get the idea of being able to listen to the body, but that's exactly what I am trying to cover up!

That's not a boy group, it's Corbin Bleu from High School Musical.

I'll admit it, I DO have some Justin Timberlake on my ipod. But I like listening to a lot of alternative rock when I'm training. Stuff that's a little angry, really gets you jacked up! Got a lot of Three Days Grace in my workout music.

For real, though, my mp3 player for working out (even though I seldom use it) is full of RHCP, Green Day, Foo Fighters, and Offspring.

Re: training music
I like putting on a little Reggae to put me more in a relaxing state, but I'll mix it up with with some alt and indy rock. I need to make a mix of all my best to put on my shuffle, nothing worse than when the wrong song pops up. Frank Sinatra, just doesn't go well with running.

Reggae and a couple of Red Stripes is also relaxing.

That's my goal every time I run. That is why I need to cover up all those noises with music. And JT is a boy that was in a boy band.

Re: training music
My collection is too eclectic to run off here but I do have some favorites when I'm struggling:
Where the Streets Have No Name - U2 (This always picks me up)
Livin' on a Prayer - Bon Jovi
Theme From Forrest Gump (Don't laugh!!! Try it once!)(Run Forrest Run!!)
More recent:
4 Minutes - Madonna and JT (I like JT too)
The new song from Usher about makin' love in a club - great beat
Oh oh...Also..and you all may laugh again but Rosanna by Toto!!
